Position Overview

The Courier Coordinator for Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center coordinates the daily duties of the Laboratory Outreach courier team and ensures Couriers are selected and trained to properly transport all laboratory specimens. This includes coordinating courier activities that meet transportation and delivery needs of all Asante entities and clients; actively monitoring client needs to ensure customer satisfaction; and assisting the Lab Outreach team with workload duties & workflow assessment as needed.

The Courier Coordinator will also be expected to maintain competency in all courier routes and will work a minimum of 1 shift per week on a courier route.

As the Courier Coordinator you will have the opportunity to:
Oversee daily activities of courier team to ensure each client's needs are met in a timely manner

Coaches courier staff in developing strong client relations skills through monthly staff meetings, individual training

Facilitate interaction and scheduling with contracted couriers servicing outlying clients

Enhance client service through appropriate responses to problems and complaints by utilizing good communication and problem-solving skills

Participate in interviews and in selecting qualified candidates for courier positions

Develop, prioritize, and monitor effective courier work schedules; adjusting routes as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

2 years personnel leadership experience required

1 year transportation experience required

2 years experience in a hospital or laboratory setting, preferred; 1 year route management experience, preferred

Demonstrates working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, preferred

Licensure/Certification

Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of insurance required

Ability to solve client problems in efficient manner
