Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • To serve as a point of contact for DHS.
  • Manage and supervise day to day operation for PPC-1 Piti cable landing station.
  • Provide remote hand support for internal and customer services.
  • Transmission service commissioning and decommissioning.
  • Co-ordinate with other PPC-1 cable landing stations.
  • Supervise upgrade activities for PPC-1 in Piti cable landing station.
  • Supervise and conduct routine maintenance activities in Piti cable landing station and OPS.
  • To serve point of contact for power safety officer in the event of submarine cable system repair.

To successful candidate will require the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in operating and maintaining submarine cable system.
  • Familiarity with a cable landing station environment.
  • Familiarity with electrical and cabling standards, any license in these areas preferred.
  • Good knowledge in submarine cable wet plant and SLTE.
  • Hands on experience in operating PFE.
  • Familiar with submarine repaired procedures and activities.
  • Good communication skills, self-motivated to work in an unsupervised environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $95,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
