Technical Lab Assistant

Job Description

Primary duties include: preparation/processing of patient specimens, verifying specimen identity and integrity, pending list review, loading instruments, operating instruments as directed, specimen tracking, clerical duties and equipment maintenance. Includes order entry as directed. Workload often requires performing department functions at a fast pace.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalent.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- Nine (9) months to two (2) years combined relevant experience and education.

PREFERENCES
- Depending on location, may prefer a grade of average on the alphanumeric typing test. (4,000 – 5,999 key strokes)
