This is a consultancy role at our client partner EMJ Metals. EMJ is a leading supplier of Steel and Aluminum Bar, Tubing, and Plate to manufacturing companies in North America and around the world. Candidate Profile:
- Post 9/11 Veteran with an Honorable discharge, OR
- Currently serving in the National Guard or Reserve
- High School Diploma/GED
- Availability to work full-time
- The Warehouse Person is responsible for pulling, filling and cutting orders; receiving and putting away stock. The Warehouse Person is required to set up and operate machines according to specifications. This employee reads blueprints or job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, tooling instructions such as fixture, feed rates, cutting speeds depth of cut and cutting tools to be used. The Warehouse Person is required to observe operation and verify conformance of machined work piece to specifications, using measuring instruments such as fixed gauges, calipers and micrometers. The Warehouse Person places material in storage or removes from storage to complete customer order
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for reading and deciphering the work orders.
- Verifies heat numbers and proper type of material to be used for work order.
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks.
- Required to pull and/or cut orders as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Post 9/11 Veteran with an Honorable discharge, OR Currently serving in the National Guard or Reserve
- High School Diploma/GED
- Independent decision making skills
- Ability to maintain focus and concentration while performing job duties
- Detail oriented to ensure work accuracy
- Good Communication skills
- Capable of operating the following equipment
- Banding equipment
- Cranes
- Diagonal cutters
- Forklifts
- Saws
- Side loaders
- Trepan Machine [Deep hole drilling machine]
- Must have sufficient strength, endurance, agility, coordination, and speed of reaction to meet the demands of equipment operation.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs continuously, up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Full-Time (Shifts typically run 8-12 hours starting at 2:00pm)
- $14.00/Hour (Plus Benefits)
