Position Summary

Responsible for completing jobs with high quality and managing material, equipment, expenses, and a crew to ensure work is completed in a timely, safe, and profitable manner. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This is a working position; all leads shall be active members of the working jobsite team and shall be expected to work just as hard as any other employees on a jobsite.

*ALL applicants MUST reside within 90 minutes of Salem at time of application

*ALL applicants MUST meet the minimum standards to move on in the application screening process

*ALL applicants MUST pass a criminal and driving background check

*ALL applicants MUST pass a drug screening including for marijuana

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads crew to perform work orders. This includes direction at the jobsite as well as making sure all administrative work (hours, logs, expenses, etc.) is completed for the entire crew.
  • Completes work using industry standards and construction knowledge, working solo or with a crew.
  • Assists in scheduling and developing Operations Plan for projects.
  • Completes paperwork and customer requests in a timely fashion.
  • Manages material and equipment usage.
  • Communicates with both internal and external customers in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Ensures that all work at each jobsite is completed safely. Makes adherence to company and OSHA safety procedures a top priority.

Technical Skills

  • 3 years construction trade experience
  • Ability to work in a group decision making system (non-consensus)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of codes, industry best practices, and regulations
  • Hands on experience with carpentry, plumbing, siding, framing, post-frame construction, and roofing

  • Knowledge of basic tools such as: screw gun, skill saw, nail gun, hammer, shovel, etc.

  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to crawl in tight places
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass random drug screenings
  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays to meet company needs
  • Must have a personal hammer, measuring tape, square, cat’s paw, and tool belt
