Job Description
Position: Assembly TechnicianSummary:
Responsible for the assembly and minimal testing of semiconductor capital equipment in a lean manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical assemblies using hand tools following computer based instructions
Read schematics
Route and harness cables and pneumatic lines
Participate in adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Attend meetings
Trouble shoot fitment issues using engineering drawings
Work independently and as a team
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Document redlined changes as required
Support Pilot MFG in the transition of systems to High Volume MFG
Perform rework in Final Test
Expectations
Safely perform duties following Lam’s policies, procedures and quality standards
Maintain orderly clean work areas, tools, equipment, and other supplies
Assist other assembly technicians utilizing areas of expertise
Maintain a commitment to Lam’s vision and core values
Arrive to work on time and maintain good attendance
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have basic knowledge of MS Operating Systems, MS Word and MS Excel
Must have basic knowledge in reading electrical wiring detail and elementary documentation including bills of material
Must have advanced knowledge in reading mechanical elementary drawings, pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams, and instrumentation flow diagrams
Must have advanced knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques
Reasoning Ability
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment, troubleshoot and make accurate timely decisions
Physical Demands
While performing duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, walk, climb ladders, use hands, see, and hear. Infrequent lifting of up to 35 pounds is required
