To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Global Mobility Specialist to join our People team in Berlin, Germany. The Global Mobility Specialist will be responsible for overseeing Grammarly’s European immigration and relocation program. They will aid in the development and maintenance of Grammarly’s European Global Mobility policies and processes.

The Global Mobility Specialist will report to the Senior Global Mobility Manager and partner closely with the People team, Recruiting team, and Legal team to help guide Grammarly’s immigration and relocation program. The Global Mobility Specialist will serve as a source of support and expertise for the Berlin Hub team members and play an active role in helping build a proactive Global Mobility European program centered around best practices, adaptability, and empathy.

Your impact

As the Global Mobility Specialist in Berlin, you will have an opportunity to support our European Global Mobility program as part of a growing global team. Your responsibilities will include working on strategy and tools for supporting our Berlin immigration and relocation programs. You will collaborate cross-functionally to apply existing global mobility best practices and build new processes and systems that will support Grammarly’s immigration and relocation goals.

As the Global Mobility Specialist, you will support the People team, Recruiting team, and hiring managers in our Germany, Poland, and Ukraine hubs, providing support and subject matter expertise for immigration and relocation matters. You’ll also have an opportunity to help shape our Global Mobility strategies in Berlin and Europe as we continue to scale.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with key Berlin stakeholders including People Partners, People operations, Recruiting, and the Senior Global Mobility Manager to support Global Mobility cases.
  • Liaison with outside immigration legal firms to support European immigration needs.
  • Liaison with our Relocation Management Company (RMC) to support European relocations.
  • Communicate and shape strategy for European immigration and relocation initiatives and guidelines.
  • Support all European Global Mobility processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Implement a core toolset to support immigration and relocation needs.
  • Help manage all visas for travel, immigration, and relocations in Germany.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Is able to collaborate in person in Berlin 2+ weeks per quarter.
  • Has knowledge of global immigration and internal mobility, processes, policies, and tools.
  • Has experience supporting corporate global mobility efforts in Germany. Experience in the greater European region is a plus.
  • Can clearly communicate immigration and relocation policies, guidelines, and practices.
  • Is comfortable working with data, acquiring data from multiple sources, data analysis, and communicating data findings.
  • Has strong organizational and time management skills, and demonstrates attention to detail when handling complex immigration and relocation cases.
  • Has experience collaborating with outside vendors on global mobility matters.
  • Builds trusted partnerships and works collaboratively with other functions to meet shared objectives.
  • Makes sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
