They’ve joined Athena to get more leverage, more impact, more success, and more time via their relationship with their top 1% Philippines-based Executive Assistant. They are world-class humans who want to get world-class at delegation. The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for building and testing the visual and functional aspects of all tools and applications of Athena, and conducting research in user behavior to ensure optimization and ease-of-use.

We are building a global team with a remote-first culture, so being able to work independently and collaborate effectively are a must.

High-Level Responsibilities

  • User Research. Learn about the goals, needs, and behavior of users, analyze the data gathered to be able to make guided decision-making. From there, create user personas that can replicate scenarios and ways in which the product can be a part of the user’s everyday life.
  • Design Development. Create user flows and wireframes that can accurately represent the user’s journey and how they interact with the product. Design mockups and prototypes that accurately represent the actual product.
  • Communication. Communicate with product / engineering / marketing teams, stakeholders, and leadership in order to gather business requirements and do UI/UX presentations.
  • Testing. Gather feedback from users based on standard metrics after they have explored the product.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Create designs that provide optimum user experience by understanding the requirements, user journey, feedbacking, and continuous improvement
  • Come up with a design by creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Develop UI mockups that clearly illustrate the site/app’s appearance and function
  • Design graphic user interface elements like menus, tabs, buttons, icons, and widgets
  • Adhere to Athena brand standards on fonts, colors, and images
  • Communicate with product/engineering teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership
  • Perform metrics analysis post-launch to evaluate and improve design / UX optimization efforts
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback

About You

  • You have proven experience as a UI/UX Designer.
    • You have 5+ years of solid UI/UX design experience and have a portfolio of projects to prove it. Optimal interface design and outstanding user experience matter the most to you, and you make it your mission to make tools and software easy-to-use across all devices.
  • You have the technical proficiency to do the job.
    • You use wireframe tools (e.g. Figma) and are highly proficient in design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • You are communicative and collaborative.
    • You are well-tuned into the behaviors of not only your end users, but your teammates, superiors, and stakeholders as well. You are always open to give and receive ideas, and can work collaboratively to achieve greater things.
  • You can maintain productivity while working remotely.
    • You are WFH ready and have the environment, devices, and tools with the right specifications to support you in your tasks.
