Pre-Sales Engineer
2 minute read
As a Pre-Sales Engineer, you’ll play an important role in helping our prospective customers understand the value of CoderPad’s products. This will allow both the users to buy on their own and the sales team to focus on selling. Through your deep product knowledge and understanding of the CoderPad platform, you will be on the front lines directly impacting the early experience of our users and generating revenue growth.
CoderPad’s product is loved by developers, so the product does most of the selling via our self-serve free trial; but it is important that we understand the specific needs of each company and ensure they get the most from their trial experience. You will reach out, problem-solve, and help convert trialers into paying customers by showcasing the value of our products and providing an exceptional experience.
To be successful, you bring a technical background, a customer-focused mindset, and a desire to collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn customer stories into actionable solutions to power a product-led growth strategy.
Sample Projects
- Proactively reach out to prospective customers in trials to encourage feature adoption and ensure trial success (e.g. conduct a live product demo)
- Respond to sales inquiries and support questions from trials (via email and in-app live chat)
- Experiment with new messaging tactics and create automated outreach to engage users and improve trial-to-paid conversion rates
- Collaborate with the sales team by handing-off enterprise leads and joining calls to demonstrate the product’s technical capabilities
- Provide feedback to product and marketing about feature needs and user confusion points, as well as needed technical support materials
Successful Experience
- Technical background as an engineer, technical customer support, software sales, or other experience developing your technical prowess to effectively communicate with a Developer audience
- Excellent listening and presentation skills to tell a story that speaks to the value of CoderPad and addresses customers’ use cases
- Experience running tests, collecting data, and communicating feedback and insights to cross-functional team members
- Critical thinker and customer-centric problem solver
- An experimental, data-driven mindset with the curiosity to dive deep into our products
- Familiarity with 3rd party user engagement tools (e.g. Intercom, Hubspot, Salesforce, UserFlow, Pendo)
Qualified candidates must reside in the United States and be able to work as full-time employees in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
