About the team and role:

We’re looking to add a strategic and creative team member with a proven track record of delivering results in France. You thrive building programs from ground zero and the thought of working with a community of educators and creatives excites you!
You are people-oriented and have a collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment, ready to remotely roll up your sleeves and work with a varied range of stakeholders and a growing community of Canva Creators (template designers) in India.
You’re a growth-loving, hyper organised and effective communicator. You’re passionate about what you do, and ready to take on the biggest challenge of your career at Canva.
You’re a keen problem-solver with the ability to read and understand data. You’re confident to flex your muscles in identifying growth opportunities for your community, while overcoming obstacles.
Last but not least, you are resourceful and comfortable with taking the initiative to surprise and delight our design community.
Our team’s mission is to make Canva the most loved brand in the world. We have two key communities which we would like to foster and grow: Education and Creators. As Canva’s Education and Creator Community Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies which will bring them on a journey to fall in love with our brand, our product and the values we stand for.

Your typical day may look like this:

  • Define strategic plan to drive growth and success of the Educator and Creators Program in France
  • Building relationships with local partners and championing the Educator and Creator community
  • Understanding and tapping into intrinsic motivators to inspire and excite Educator and Creators into producing highly relevant local templates
  • Brainstorming and producing engaging content to educate, inspire and entertain our community of teachers + our Creator community. This will include video tutorials, webinars, engagement posts, fun design challenges, product launches, live events, and quirky promotional content;
  • Managing a local budget to develop initiatives to activate Educators and Creators
  • Initiating campaigns and events to attract new Creators and deepen loyalty
  • Identifying local content gaps and communicating those opportunities to Creators
  • Collaborating with internal teams to align your efforts with Canva’s global strategy
  • Reporting learnings and success metrics internally
  • Enabling local designers, educators/teachers and NFPs to publish their own templates and elements for the Canva community to use;
  • Gathering feedback from Creators and analyzing data to provide feedback on how to improve the program in France
  • Reaching out to local designers to attract them to the program
  • Collaborating with Design Education to deliver virtual workshops for Creators to help them get onboarded and upskilled
  • Writing weekly newsletters and moderating the private Facebook group for local Creators
  • Acting as the guide for Educators and Creators at all points of their journey

You may have knowledge or experience in some of the following areas:

  • Defining a strategic plan for business growth
  • Developed external partnerships to achieve a business goal
  • Building or sharing organic / user generated content social media which has supported the growth of a community
  • Engaging communities via events, partnerships, outreach and online
  • Leading large Facebook groups, ideally for a local brand
  • Perhaps you have been a graphic designer or an educator yourself and have a curiosity about applying your knowledge and network connections into a community role
  • Being able to communicate fluently in French and English would be essential for success
You’ll be a creative and conscientious community leader and passionate content creator with experience executing across social media communities. Being a natural people’s person who embraces experimenting with new ideas, thrive in ambiguity and love big challenges. You’ll do everything you can to help the members of our communities and be a fountain of knowledge when it comes to community building, viral campaigns, emerging conversations, trends, tools and social and community insights.
Becoming confident with publishing your events through video post and other social media platforms is critical in this role. Being able to take initiative to surprise and delight our design and education community will bring you credibility amongst your network. Every big idea starts somewhere—you can break down your concepts into turning point moments and match it with measurable critical metrics.
