We’re looking for a contract marketing content writer to create engaging conceptual and technical content for Deloitte’s US Cyber and Strategic Risk practice. Our ideal candidate is one with 5+ years of experience and a portfolio that bridges big thinking and envy-inducing copy with a sharply honed ability to distill complex tech offerings into content that engages a highly technical audience of IT and cyber decision-makers. Our marketing team brings T-shaped strategists, creatives, analysts, and specialists together in an Agile environment to strengthen our position, empower our clients, promote our values, and create unforgettable brand experiences.
Responsibilities
- Write clear, concise, and compelling technical marketing and digital content aimed at cybersecurity and information technology decision makers
- Consistently infuse a clear, confident, and human voice into all copy to excite, educate, and engage our audience of cyber decision makers
- Concept and execute conceptual marketing, digital and experiential campaigns
- Develop and edit white papers, POVs, articles/blogs, executive and technical overview decks, discovery deck/sales scripts, sales sheets, industry-specific one-pagers, brochures, email templates, demos, battlecards, placemats, FAQs, competitor comparison analysis, brochure, qual/case studies, testimonials, explainer videos, solution pages, cyber catalog updates to drive consideration and demand, and positions our brand as industry leading
- Work on longer-form content projects like blog posts, bylines, and whitepapers
- Write demo and video scripts, demos, and help to develop their storyboards
- Explore new ways to leverage core messaging in copy; engage in rapid ideation and iteration
- Conduct research on industry-related topics and keywords, and create content that leverages SEO, increases web traffic, and drives client engagement
- Collaborate with creative, design, strategy and demand generation team members to define content strategy leveraging in-depth knowledge and research about buyer needs, industry trends, competitor insights, buyer journeys, overarching narrative and position to support business growth objectives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technology-focused copywriting, either in-house at a technology company or at an agency working with tech clients
- A passion for distilling complex tech and cyber offerings into compelling and concise content, as well as highly conceptual “big idea” thinking
- Familiarity with mindset of technical audiences, including IT and cyber decision-makers
- A strong understanding of product/brand positioning and messaging
- The ability to interpret marketing briefs to understand project requirements
- Experience working independently and collaboratively on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines, and using feedback to build the most effective copy and content possible
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels
