GMR Marketing is looking for a Senior Social Media Analyst to help support the growth, analysis, and understanding of our social media programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background and skillset in social and influencer marketing campaigns, collecting and analyzing data from paid, owned, and earned channels. This role will require the ability to stay on top of fast changing social media data sets and analytic tools. More than just a reporter of information, this position will be tasked with unearthing insights and unique stories that the data tells.

YOUR IMPACT //

Reporting to the Head of Research, the Senior Social Media Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate with the Head of Research and Strategists to develop KPI recommendations during the briefing process based on historical data, benchmarks, and subject matter expertise.
  • Lead the collection, assessment, and storytelling for our campaign reports and recaps.
  • Own the methodologies and collection of performance data so that it is normalized, secure, accurate, and organized / archived for future reference.
  • Demonstrate diligence, attention to detail, an eye for quality assurance and data accuracy, and adherence to agency best practices.
  • Analyze and evaluate performance data and user engagement, habits, and behaviors to  suggest improvements that will have a net positive impact on current and future programs.
  • Conduct social media and influencer audits for clients and competitors.
  • Work with the Strategist and key partners to make data-driven recommendations and co-own campaign maintenance, optimization, and address client questions.

In conjunction with Research and Strategy, the Senior Social Media Analyst will support:

  • Client consultation on data-driven recommendations, campaign optimization, and other considerations and implications
  • Ownership of measurement and reporting from beginning to end, including setting up social monitors, monitoring and tracking performance, quality and accuracy of reports.
  • Evaluating, interpreting, and clearly communicating performance data
  • Reviewing scheduled ads for accuracy

YOUR EXPERIENCE //

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in the areas of social and influencer analytics; paid social campaign development, management, and optimization; and organic and paid performance measurement and reporting
  • Experience analyzing and reporting on campaigns from a variety of social platforms preferred: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, etc.
  • Proficiency with social platform ad managers, particularly Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills
  • Previous work experience as a Social Media Analyst or similar role
  • Proven experience and understanding of social media analytics, search and paid digital media space
  • Ability to craft, write, and present ideas, findings and insights borne of data
  • Strong writing skills and ability to craft messages in GMR’s voice
  • Someone with their ‘finger on the pulse’ of social trends, new platform features and best practices
  • Experience with ads platforms of Facebook, Twitter, and others
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, efficient worker
  • Organizational skills will work across multiple teams and projects
  • Power user capabilities with Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with social media monitoring tool, Netbase, strongly preferred
  • Experience with other social media tools like Klear, Creator IQ, and Affinio desired
