Head of Payment and Fraud Operations

We’re looking for a Head of Payment & Fraud Operation (Director) who has a proven track record of leading and coaching a high performing team, as well as delivering results in a high growth environment. In this role, you will set the strategic vision for the global payment, fraud, creator payout and e-commerce/marketplace while partnering closely with senior leadership in our Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal and IT teams. You’re able to navigate through technical and regulatory constraints while simultaneously distilling and communicating complex subject matter to payments and non-payments stakeholders.
What you’ll do
- Improve and innovate our end-to-end payments processing capabilities, including new ways to exchange money with payments partners, store payment details on our platform, and reduce operational/maintenance overhead while delivering seamless, secure, and reliable payments experiences that delight our partners while enabling a high rate of growth and scale
- Strategically plan and enable a best-in-class payments infrastructure to support existing and emerging products, including pay-in & pay-outs infrastructure, PSP strategies, marketplace etc, while ensuring ensure compliance with PII, PCI and other regulations
- Lead our third-party payments-related partner relationships to achieve operational goals, service levels, and performance targets
- Build metrics and quantitative analysis to drive operational excellence while improving our efficiency and scale
- Lead coordination efforts between internal stakeholders and global payment providers to optimize our payment platform
What we’re looking for
- Strong leadership, exceptional decision making skills and project management skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and influence across a diverse team of engineers, data scientists, finance, compliance, legal and business experts
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills. SQL knowledge is a preferred
- Ability to work directly with engineers to develop use cases, build inspiring narratives, and evaluate short-term vs. long-term trade-offs
- 8+ years of experience in global payment processing, recurring billing, and e-commerce
- Deep understanding with of how money moves between merchant platforms and payment and fraud (chargeback, KYC tools, fraud prevention) processing partners, including payment gateways, processors, acquirers, card networks, and issuers
