The Apptio Global Services Team is a high performing team of technical and business consultants with deep expertise in the configuration and deployment of Apptio’s SaaS solutions for enabling Technology Business Management (TBM) within IT organizations. With backgrounds ranging from Management Consulting to Business Analysis, Enterprise software deployment to Business Intelligence Modeling, this diverse group is focused on delivering wildly successful customers through high quality deployments and enablement of our customers to adopt and realize the full value of the Apptio TBM solution.

We are seeking individuals with business and technology consulting experience to configure and implement our flagship SaaS product for customers from within our Apptio Center of Excellence in London, UK. You will work closely with customers and the Apptio Field Delivery team to design and configure customer solutions to address their business needs and solution requirements. Your efforts will directly impact the value realized by the customer and the ultimate success of the relationship. In order to succeed in this team, you must have the passion and energy to work in a startup, entrepreneurial, and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gather functional and business requirements from client and translate into a functional hosted solution design, which meets customer needs and provides maximum value.
  • Exhibit professional demeanor while communicating with customers and peers.
  • Configure, test, & document Apptio dashboards, reports and underlying data models to meet functional design and specifications.
  • Exhibit humility while interacting with team members in the organization. Show eagerness to contribute to organizational values.
  • Demonstrate passion for continued success of our customers; fortitude and perseverance in challenging situations.
  • Be a fast learner and take ownership of knowledge gaps.
  • Actively contribute ideas based on previous experience, share perspectives relating to existing situations.
  • Collaborate with other departments in the company to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion.
  • Work with product management and development organizations to channel client feedback and solutions into future releases of the Apptio product suite.
  • Work with content management to channel commonalities across customers into best practices processes & product delivered templates.

Qualifications

General

  • Fluent in German, PLUS English
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong to expert skills in data analysis/manipulation.
  • Skilled at working with large data sets in Excel, quickly detecting and resolving data-related issues.
  • Customer facing consulting experience.
  • Competent with packaged application software implementation practices.

Business Domain Focus

  • Specific knowledge and application of IT services and financial management including budgeting, cost allocations, capital & operating expense handling, program portfolio management, and application / infrastructure support.
  • Operational knowledge of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network / communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application development & maintenance.

Technical Domain Focus

  • Knowledge and application of relational database concepts.
  • Skilled at completing technical design via iterative mockups.
  • Basic programming skills, e.g. Excel, HTML, SQL.

Experience & Education

  • Proven solid experience in a business or technical analyst role for medium to large scale business software implementation projects.
  • Degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, finance or equivalent work experience.
  • Training / certification in ITIL or equivalent is a bonus.
  • Previous experience in TBM is advantageous.

Location & Travel:

  • Based at Apptio Paris with flexible working policy.
  • Supporting customers primarily in Europe.
  • Willingness to travel (20% average, reaching 50% during peak).
