This is a full-time role that can be located in the headquarters in the SF Bay Area (Burlingame, California), or remote.

Responsibilities
- Be part of the data platform team – a team of innovative engineers working on core pieces of serving our ML models, data APIs, and ML infrastructure
- Participate, contribute and lead designing of systems for building foundational pieces of the data platform
- Lead a team of engineers, assist and lead scrum planning to deliver high quality, impactful software
- Work with multiple stakeholders on requirements, project management and solutions for data APIs
- Drive efficiency in systems through automation, documentation and following software engineering best practices
- Demonstrate high degree of ownership in all facets – design to productionizing to iterative improvements
- Lead and contribute to team’s roadmap, project planning and prioritization
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Ability to write high-quality code in Java (Kotlin a plus) with a track record of shipping impactful data APIs
- Experience implementing, designing, and scaling production-level data APIs in AWS using Kubernetes
- Experience working with highly sensitive data in a healthcare environment
- A track record of making quality vs. deadline tradeoffs in fast-paced environments
- Ability to lead a team of engineers and perform project planning, management and execution
- Strong communication skills and ability to generate consensus and buy-in within the team
- Organizational skills and the ability to simplify complex problems and prioritize what matters most for the sake of the team and the business
