Director of Accounting

We are looking for a seasoned Director of Accounting to join our Finance Organization with a focus on bringing best practices to our global Accounting Operations, and financial system implementations. In this role, you will own Workday system implementation, creation/implementation of policies, procedures, internal controls and continuous process improvements. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing the external audit process and ensuring that the company is in compliance with local, state and federal tax reporting requirements, as well as accounting standards. The candidate will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with teams across the organization including sales Ops, billing and revenue operations, FP&A, IT team, etc.

• Lead Workday Payroll & Financial module implementation
• Streamline month-end close process
• Implement ASC606 revenue recognition
• Create/implement new Accounting policies and procedures
• Establish and manage internal controls and guidelines
• Manage external audit process
• Assist on sales tax compliance project
• Manage all analysis and compliance for taxes including Federal, State, Corporate
• Identify and implement process improvements on an ongoing basis
• Maintain and update various Financial systems (troubleshooting, update releases, annual system update, etc).

What you bring to the role:

• CPA is a must
• 10  to 12 years of progressive B2B SaaS/software experience ideally with both public/private company leadership roles
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience in technical accounting, ASC 606, ASC 404, SOX, ASC 718
• Experience with international subsidiaries and consolidation a must
• Leader who is detail-oriented, willing to roll up their sleeves, and able to multi-task.
• Has project management and team management experience
• Extensive system implementation experience
• Experience with multi-system integration
• Experience in US payroll is a must
• Strong critical thinking skills and execution ability
• Top-tier written and verbal communication
• A love of problem solving
