We are looking for a Staff Web Developer to work with with designers, backend developers, and fellow frontend developers to build fluid, accessible, and responsive web sites that customers love. This position will support the ongoing development of components, services, and application, as well as contribute to the development and refinement of the overall web architecture and technology stack.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in a UX-focused environment and a passion for crafting experiences that customers love.
  • Good understanding of industry best practices, layout aesthetics, SEO principles, and an eye for accessibility.
  • Naturally, someone with a great understanding of developing for the websites with a background building large-scale web applications.
  • Deep experience with various technologies: Javascript (React.Js, Node.js), CSS, HTML, REST, JSON, and proficiency in React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Storybook.
  • Knowledge of browser testing and debugging highly desirable.
  • Ability to offer feedback to other developers on the team and experience in reviewing and improving code.
  • A team player who appreciates working together, solving problems, and iterating to become something better.
  • Working experience as a development team member in a rapid product and software development environment using Agile/Scrum.
  • The ability to participate in the complete lifecycle of a feature, including contributing to planning, development work, and responding to customer feedback.
  • 3-5 years of modern web frameworks (e.g. React, Node) development experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on web/software development experience.

  • Identify inefficiencies in our development and deployment processes, and plan improvements.
  • Proactively adopt innovative approaches that enable rapid delivery and help solve business and technical challenges.
  • Take part in regular calls to discuss workflows and assign priorities.
  • Perform peer code review and overall site QA.
  • Work with DevOps and developers to ensure solutions and platforms are easily integrated and maintainable.
  • Participate and prepare for contributions to ceremonies including stand up, demo, backlog refinement, retros, and planning.
  • Participate in architecting the full-stack, scalable, flexible, maintainable, web-based solutions to meet 1Password functional needs.
