As a growing number of teams opt for Pitch as their one-stop shop for presentation creation, delivery, and sharing, we want to ensure that their journey from purchase intent to their first invoice is as seamless as possible. At Pitch, the strategy, implementation, and technical systems behind our monetisation is owned by our Billing team. They look after everything from guiding customers through a credit card transaction, to defining the feature sets in our subscription tiers, and beyond. As Senior Product Manager, you will play a key role on our Billing team by owning Pitch’s roadmap for bringing this best-in-class freemium experience to our users. Read on to find out more.
What you will do
- Work with our designers and engineers to plan a feature roadmap, to guide decisions and provide business context of carefully balanced Freemium model.
- Running roadmap planning and maintenance sessions with the engineering team. Continuously make decisions on prioritisation based on all available inputs, ranging from analytics to qualitative user feedback (via customer support and user research) to SaaS role models.
- Ensure the team can stay on top of critical changes to billing requirements globally, such as sales tax — designing processes to do so at a large scale.
- Making connections with other product teams who are working on features that connect with the monetisation layer and act as the voice of Team Billing in this environment.
- Developing and communicating our strategy around billing to the broader Pitch team. We’re a remote team, so being able to keep people informed via a creative mix of asynchronous mediums is key.
- Sit in on user research sessions to gain valuable customer input.
- Working with Team Analytics to plan and define analyses related to monetisation.
What you should offer
- Experience working with a billing system for a successful (i.e. high-traffic) software product.
- Solid understanding of a Freemium SaaS pricing model, including the underlying dynamics and growth levers involved.
- Understanding of core SaaS metrics — MRR, Churn Rate, ARPA etc. and ability to craft a product strategy and roadmap .
- Experience working with Stripe, and Stripe Billing (subscriptions).
- Have technical experience either building or shipping a service with a subscription model (bonus for Freemium!)
