OpenGov is looking for an energetic, operations-oriented Sr HR Business Partner to drive OpenGov’s Compensation, Benefits and operational processes. This will be an ideal role for someone that wants to develop breadth and depth in the HR world while leveraging existing skills and talents.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a business partner to assigned organization: help them achieve/exceed business results, strengthen team performance, culture, and retention while mitigating legal exposure
  • Own, run and refine bi-annual performance review, goal setting/scoring and compensation processes for Go-To-Market (GTM) organization
  • Report monthly, quarterly, and annual HR metrics; share with leadership and management
  • Drive training at the company level: develop and send Manager email/slack materials, own employee lunch ‘n learn series, other training as needed
  • Implement tools and processes to support your business units: training, career ladders, competencies, development plans, PIPs, onboarding, etc.
  • Develop events, training, materials etc to support a successful remote culture
  • Be an advocate and help champion OpenGov’s culture and values
  • Partner with HR Analyst on Onboarding and Offboarding processes; conduct exit interviews
  • Manage compliance reporting and administration (Soc2/FedRamp, EEO) as well as training (Workplace Harassment, Security Training)
  • Consult with the business’s leadership and management to foster and promote the engagement of the business’s core values at all levels.
  • Provide meaningful and timely feedback to management on strategic initiatives
  • Translate organizational needs into plans of action to achieve organizational goals and strategies.
  • Consult leaders through organizational effectiveness, design and change initiatives.
  • Lead transformation efforts, including change management, process improvement, org design and capability development.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability of decisions/recommendations made by HR team when working with client groups
  • Act as a guide and mentor for more junior members of the HRBP team.
  • Operate as a partner to executive leadership, coordinating talent-related business activities, operating with independent decision-making authority.
  • Own and lead change management, organizational design, workforce planning and performance management initiatives end-to-end.
  • Analyze trends and data in partnership with the HR team, having an active voice in developing solutions and initiatives to drive results.
  • Offer advocacy to team members and incorporate employee advocacy in daily work.

Qualifications:

  • Great relationship building skills with a passion for helping others
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and influence effectively with employees and leaders at every levels
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to juggle competing priorities; ideally has startup experience
  • Able to handle confidential matters and sensitive data
  • An extreme eye for detail – nothing slips through the cracks
  • An open and approachable demeanor
  • HRIS system savvy / administration / operations experience
  • Can problem solve and create innovative solutions
  • Proficiency in Mac and Google applications, such as sheets, slides, and docs
  • Excellent judgement and problem-solving capabilities; as well as the ability to make thoughtful decisions with strong moral compass
  • Ability to demonstrate a passion and skill for drawing actionable insights from raw information and data.
  • Analyze information and effectively propose solutions.
  • You have been an HR Business Partner at a company in an early stage, fast paced, environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, drive projects to completion and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong business and HR acumen
