Sr. Front-end Engineer

Who is the Website Product Squad?

The Website Product squad owns our Website Builder, Render Engine and Website Hosting Architecture. The squad is fully immersed in the challenges of abstracting html/css and how to enable real estate agents to build and customize their website. This team regularly interfaces with the Platform and Data Squads for CMS and MLS Data in addition to the Creative Team for templated HTML content. Currently the render engine is responsible for rendering more than 8000 static pages a minute and the team is at work optimizing for new business use cases.

What you will do as a Sr. Frontend Developer:

• Design, build, test, and deploy web products built with React frontends and micro-frontends
• Partner with architecture and external development teams to design reusable components and technical solutions
• Partner with Backend Developers to build seamless user-facing features
• Participate in the evaluation of emerging technology and tools
• Optimize application for maximum performance and scalability
• Conduct code reviews for peers and mentor junior Engineers
• Participate in squad ceremonies and team events (lunch & learn, brainstorms, etc)

Skills And Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with React or another modern JavaScript web framework (Vue, Angular, etc)
• Strong understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts
• Proficiency in core web and browser concepts (e.g., the DOM)
• Experience tightly integrating client-side applications to backend APIs
• Experience with GraphQL and the Apollo or Relay client
• Experience bundling large JavaScript projects with the use of Webpack or similar technologies
• Experience optimizing page load speeds and optimizing client-side application performance
• Experience working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) model, including Github and CI pipeline automation tools
• Proven success working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
