Senior Product Designer

As a Senior Product Designer, you will acquire a deep understanding of the home improvement process through the lens of our customers–the homeowner and the building professionals. You will collaborate with your product squad and UX team to bring our vision for a simplified home improvement experience to life!

Our Product Designers are integral to our product squads. Most squads contain a Product Manager, Engineers/IT professionals, User Experience professionals and business stakeholders. Although a UX researcher may be assigned for larger projects, Product Designers are expected to conduct research throughout the design process. We work in Figma and have access to tools for every type of research need — site analytics, A/B testing, user testing, on and off-site surveys, and session replay/experience analytics.

The work.

• Improving existing UI and validating results with A/B and user testing
• Designing new features and tools that make home improvement easier
• Using various research techniques to discover what needs to be done and measure effectiveness

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use an effective design process on every project
• Understand and advocate for our customers
• Present your work and incite relevant feedback
• Utilize and contribute to the design system
• Collaborate with your product team and fellow designers while prioritizing projects
• Mentor or coach less experienced Product Designers

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of Product Design/User Experience Design experience
• Excellent design skills
• Strong understanding of the development process
• Clear, kind & effective communication skills
• Ability to think creatively
• Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative user research then turn those findings into revenue driving features
