What the role is

We need to establish a design system for Drizly – Consumer and Retailer. These are reusable digital components (e.g. buttons, navigation, cards, interaction styles) that are infused with the Drizly brand and help maintain consistency across all digital channels. It also allows us to easily update/change things. A design system is the pairing of design and code. We will be pairing the Design Systems designer with an engineering team to focus solely on the development of the Drizly Design System. Together with this designer role, they’ll build up the design system and maintain it going forward. The Design System will have to support our goal (and legal requirement) of Drizly meeting Accessibility standards, as well as working closely with Brand/Marketing to ensure we are presenting a consistent brand experience.

In this role you will:

  • Design components for Drizly Design System – Consumer & Retailer
  • Work with developers to ensure components meet high standard of design excellence
  • Work with product designers to understand their teams’ unique UI needs and challenges, and to craft universally acceptable UI components
  • Articulate a creative direction for Drizly and help other designers to flesh it out
  • Work with Marketing/Brand to ensure we’re imbuing design system with essential Drizly brand
