Head of Design

As the Head of Design, reporting directly to the CTO, you will collaborate with leadership to define the vision for Commit’s product while working hands-on with the product team to design and build an exceptional user experience.

What you will do

• You will play an integral role in the development of Commit’s product vision in collaboration with leadership.
  • You will develop a deep understanding of Commit’s strategy, product, and users through relevant user research, competitive analysis, and other design thinking activities.
  • You will apply your deep understanding to meaningfully collaborate on and contribute to the definition and development of Commit’s product vision.
• You will translate the product vision into compelling UX design solutions.
  • You will develop and deliver high-level and detailed storyboards, concept diagrams, user interface sketches, mockups, prototypes, and detailed design specifications to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
  • You will consistently choose the best course of action from a wide range of UX design activities appropriate for complex problems (such as rapid prototyping and usability testing) to address business problems and/or opportunities.
• You will provide mentorship and design leadership in Commit’s product org.
  • You will actively mentor and provide oversight to junior designers and support the development team as they deliver products that implement your designs.
  • You will champion design excellence within the product team, including by fully integrating design to improve and optimize existing processes and contributing to overall improvement of best practices through shared thought leadership.

• Base salary of $150-$170K depending on experience
