In this newly-created role, you’ll be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to develop processes that ensure appropriate prioritization and approvals for strategic initiatives. You’ll work with cross-functional team leadership and project managers to ensure projects are being managed across consistent frameworks, timelines, and budgets.
What you’ll do as the Director, Strategic Real Estate Initiatives, at Notarize:
- Lead all Real Estate team work streams including cross-functional initiatives and projects
- Determine workstream lifecycle (i.e. deciding the workstream focus, prioritization, and who is responsible for what)
- Apply a data-driven approach to measuring the effectiveness of programs, establishing key metrics and continuously iterating to improve results
- Ensure appropriate prioritization and approvals for strategic initiatives
- Develop a deep understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external teams, and management to ensure requirements are being met and projects are kept on schedule.
- Provide day-to-day leadership by offering ideas or solutions to help the team resolve issues and being held responsible for escalating matters as needed
- Help lead our ongoing strategic planning process – driving an agile loop between market insight, customer insight, and operational execution.
- Act as a flexible resource who can quickly bring structure to high priority business opportunities that fall outside the day-to-day scope of existing teams.
What we’re looking for:
- 6+ years of relevant experience within mortgage finance, real estate services, or related fields
- Aptitude for partnering effectively and building strong relationships with credibility and trust, with team members and internal and external stakeholders
- Proven record of successful supervisory experience, able to establish and nurture relationships with individuals of varying backgrounds
- Experience evaluating success through metrics/adoption and development of continuous improvement plans
- Excellent communication and presentations skills; comfortable interacting with senior management to provide updates and insight into best practices for ongoing priorities
- Pragmatic mindset to figure out how to accomplish things quickly and efficiently
- Ability to thrive in an fast-moving and fast-changing environment
- Prior experience with managing and developing a remote team preferred
