Director, DevOps

As the Director of DevOps, you will lead our DevOps team that designs, implements, and operates our cloud infrastructure and internal applications. You will lead the team of experienced DevOps to modernize, implement, optimize, and support our infrastructure and tools that provide building blocks for our developers to improve productivity.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing operational-based tools, managing cloud environments in a highly available, large scale organization. We are looking for a humble Servant Leader who is focused on results-driven, customer-centric, taking ownership and accountability.

What you’ll do here:

• Lead the function responsible for development and administration of Salesforce, HRIS systems, provisioning, and the interoperability of these systems with each other
• Catalog audit, and maintain records related to all systems.
• Guide system solution and technical approach to solving business problems
• Offer strategic guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams as to how to integrate and support interoperability of systems
• Manage the day to day activities that include enterprise application platform support, execute delivery life cycle, enhancements of business workflow processes, data integration to and from the Salesforce platform, and driving operational efficiencies across the organization
• Collaborates with business partners on the definition and prioritization of enterprise application solutions roadmaps projects for your respective areas of operation. Develops and executes plans based on business strategies
• Work with leaders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging our core applications solutions and data to execute our sales, marketing and operations processes, drive advanced business solutions, digital transformation, analytics, and overall asset corporate value
• Interview, hire, and grow a team of senior business/enterprise application professionals/managers and ensure that strategic and tactical decisions for business tools and applications are effectively carried out. Responsible for taking proof-of-concept to a mission critical service
• Leads strategic technological planning as it relates to applications and cloud-based distributed systems to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, development, deployment, and management of current and future application technologies with all stakeholders

What you’ll need to thrive:

• Proven experience in DevOps Engineering, CI/CD, Terraform and Jenkins
• Innovate and create solutions for advancing automation in cloud services
• Experience owning the execution of teams
• Reinforce a culture of agile development and continuous delivery that is focused on customer value
• Align the organization and be a change agent for Engineering Excellence
• Guide the organization in the adoption of DevOps practices and tools
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, GCP, or another public cloud
• Experience with 24/7 site monitoring and ability to own uptime & performance SLA’s
• Strong teamwork and partnering skills for cross-group collaboration
• Operational experience at scale – designing and operating highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems using best-of-breed technologies like containers, APIs, Data Platform, etc.
