Content Specialist

As a Content Specialist: You’ll create valuable and compelling content of diverse content types to educate, engage, and entice healthcare professionals and facilities. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively with our Senior Content Marketing Manager and members of the marketing management team to create blog posts, press releases, website content, infographics, webinars, podcasts, educational collateral, and other content that advances the CareRev story. You’ll also call upon your research skills to ensure our company content is relevant, timely, accurate, and specifically crafted to capture the attention of our target audiences. Finally, you’ll help set priorities and define a vision that aligns with corporate goals and tech resources.
What you’ll do
- Create various types of copy and content on topics related to healthcare and technology for our site, our social media channels, our sales enablement materials, our email campaigns, etc. in collaboration with our Senior Content Marketing Manager and SEO Specialist
- Thorough research of topics to create copy and content on par with brand messaging
- Identify and understand B2B and B2C audience needs and recommend new content to address gaps in current content strategies and approaches
- Expansion of CareRev content’s overall reach to both B2B and B2C audiences
- Review of content with and provide and compile feedback to stakeholders
- Collaboration with our Senior Content Marketing Manager and our SEO Specialist to optimize content for search and lead generation
- Contributions to long-form and multimedia content initiatives such as guides, ebooks, videos, webinars, podcasts, etc.
- Collaboration with our Marketing Operations & Analytics Manager and our SEO Specialist to improve and review content marketing reporting and analytics
- Proofread content for errors and inconsistencies
- Edit and polish existing content to improve readability and relevance
- Follow editorial, brand and writing style guidelines to ensure adherence to CareRev standards and effective communication of our brand voice
What we’re looking for
- BA in English, Marketing, Communications, or a similar field and/or 5 years of relevant career experience
- Excellent persuasive writing and editing skills with the ability to create an accessible and share worthy message that is clear, concise, and tailored to a specific audience
- Creativity in approach to writing that results in copy and multiple types of content compelling audience to take action
- Proven experience in thorough content research
- Proficiency in creating compelling copy and content for all levels of the marketing funnel
- Ability to shift between working independently and collaboratively as needed
- Ability to professionally interview and interact with executives, clients, and users to capture their insights and effectively convey them in content deliverables
- Proficiency in revising with feedback in mind and in providing valuable feedback to stakeholders
- Proven experience in recognizing the needs of your intended audiences, including how they think, how they speak, and what they search for
- Ability to revise for meaning and edit for style and to recognize that perfection is not attainable, especially on tight deadlines
- Willingness to discuss ideas, revisions, voice, and style with stakeholders and to be forthright with expert recommendations
- Passion for learning about topics related to healthcare and technology
- Willingness to use data to scale content and copy initiatives
- Experience in small, high-growth startup preferred
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
