Content and Social Media Contractor

Nerd Street is looking for creative and collaborative individuals to support our social media team and specialize in various games such as CS:GO, Rainbow 6 Siege, VALORANT, League of Legends, Apex Legends, Rocket League, and more. These individuals need to be driven self-starters who are not afraid to make decisions, celebrate their successes, and are eager to learn on a daily basis.

Content and social media contractors will work various hours per week (estimated between 10-20) and are responsible for creating and executing social media content across Nerd Street and Localhost social media platforms, as well as partner platforms such as Fragadelphia.

This position will report directly to the Social Media Manager

Responsibilities:

• Create game and industry specific content that aligns with provided social media strategies for Nerd Street, Localhost, and/or partner accounts.
• Deliver proposed content (photos, videos, memes, etc) to Social Media Manager in a timely manner for proper approvals prior to being posted on an account.
• Deliver recommendations based on social platform insights and trends.
• Engage with followers through replies, direct messages, and more on behalf of the organization.
• Live tweet as directed for broadcasts hosted on the Nerd Street, Localhost, or partner brand Twitch channel(s).
•  Assist in customer inquiries and grievances, always with assistance from the Social Media Manager.
• Develop content primarily for (but not limited to): Twitter, Instagram, Instagram Stories, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and Tiktok.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of esports/gaming social media experience across platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.
• Expertise in content creation including but not limited to video editing and graphic design.
• Extensive knowledge of popular video games such as (CS:GO, Rainbow 6 Siege, VALORANT, League of Legends, Apex Legends, Rocket League, and more).
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom, and/or After Effects.
• Excellent communication skills.
