Join us as a core member of CareerPlug’s tight-knit and highly productive Hiring Expert team, working directly to provide education on using the software and provide guidance on hiring best practices. In this role, you will blend the strong technical knowledge of our software with hiring expertise to take a consultative approach to help clients make the right hires for their business. The ideal candidate has a background in customer support, retention, or sales, and is passionate about building relationships. Experience working in a mid-level support role on a fast-paced small team in a software or startup environment is preferred.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Primarily provide inbound phone, and occasional email support to our clients; delivering proactive, personalized consultation and building long-term, engaging partnerships with our hiring software clients.
  • Work as a team to meet and exceed Client Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Meet and exceed individual KPIs
  • Personalize client interaction by active listening, asking questions to learn the client’s goals and business needs, and offering insightful, individualized suggestions to help each client meet their goals.
  • Collaborate with your peers and across other teams and departments to provide clients with a customized hiring solution.
  • Support team in meeting the company’s retention goals through inbound and outbound communication as needed.
  • Utilize confident communication skills for retention efforts.
  • Take the time to make each client feel positive and confident about their knowledge of the CareerPlug system.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
  • Growth mindset. Hungry for feedback and coaching and implementing it.
  • Outgoing, customer-focused personality that thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • High self-awareness and can communicate empathetically and creatively with clients (able to adjust communication style to each individual client)
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and develop solutions that meet their specific needs
  • Ability to analyze data and make healthy judgment calls to problem solve.
  • 2-3 years of experience in phone-based customer service, consultation, or sales environment (preferred)
  • Experience in a mid-level support role, start-up environment, or software company (preferred)

A note on COVID-19 & Remote Work: As of March 2020, our Austin-based team has been working fully remotely. We have transitioned to a Remote First company forever. This role may be filled by either an Austin resident or as a fully remote role for any U.S.-based candidate.

Compensation: $50,000, plus potential quarterly bonus
