Stocking Associate
SUMMARY
Under general supervision and working within a framework of established procedures transports, stores, and distributes products within warehouse by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and are intended to represent the principal elements of this position. They are not totally inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
Reads replenishment lists to determine items to be restocked.
Operates order picker to retrieve items on the upper levels from the replenishment pickup list.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other departments and locations utilizing a variety of warehouse equipment such as forklift (stand up), order picker, motorized pallet jacks, pallet jacks and hand trucks, carts, etc.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to bar code storage system.
Opens boxes, cartons and other containers and examines replenishment stock to verify product matches product on shelf and is properly labeled.
Fills verbal and written requests for materials or other stock items and delivers items as necessary.
Shrink wraps and identifies stock with appropriate product information prior to transferring to overstock storage racks.
Arranges stock in specified sequence for put away by team members and other workers.
Uses hand held computer to accurately record product location and enter storage records.
Maintains inventory in orderly and organized manner.
Performs routine checklist on the forklift on a daily basis.
Understands the stocking department functions in the kit area.
Properly identifies and puts away stock into the overstock locations following the proper procedures.
Properly stores and retrieves cartons as necessary from the record retention area.
Follows all Flinn safety procedures while performing all duties.
Performs other duties both within and outside of department as assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months to one year related experience and/or training.
OTHER COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to safely operate Stand Up forklift and order picker.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Normal warehouse environment with occasional scheduled overtime required during peak work periods.
