Job Description

  • We are searching for an experienced Brand Manager to work closely with the marketing and production team on several retail product lines.
  • The ideal candidate for this position is an energetic professional who is able to multi-task effectively, offer quick and accurate advice and provide creative input to help advance our brands.
  • To ensure continued profitability and volume growth of the assigned brands through effective, well coordinated planning and prudent/innovative deployment of marketing and fiscal resources

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the products, services and product lines that fall under their domain resonate with current and potential customers.
  • Monitor marketing trends and keep a close eye on competitive products in the marketplace.
  • Regularly meet with clients and senior management, and oversee a team of junior marketers.
  • Developing, implementing and executing marketing initiatives and activities for assigned brand
  • Responsible for more executing marketing campaigns; managing and developing P&L and driving market growth.
  • Conduct initial market research for a brand, gathering data about where a product fits
  • Develop monthly objectives with their team with the goal of increasing a brand’s value
  • Developing marketing strategies and introducing the brand to the public.
  • Perform regular market research studies to gather important brand data
  • Develop custom brand management plans for each product and submit updated summaries on brand exposure to management each month
  • Assist in the design of retail packaging as well as the creation of in-store marketing displays
  • All other duties that may be required of him/her by the management in line with the job role.

Requirements

  • He or she must hold a B.Sc or HND in any suitable in Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • An MBA Marketing will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 14 years work experience, out of which 4 years must be at Senior Brand Manager’s level
  • The incumbent must be comfortable with traveling to different part of the country and must be organized to keep track of brand details
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of CRM software
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively, forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • 5+ years’ experience in brand or product management
  • Strong project management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and report presentation abilities
  • Extensive experience in packaging design and retail display creation
