Sales Operations Manager
As a Sales Operations Manager, you will be expected to collaborate with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Make final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations’ effective achievement of objectives. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements. Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division, or company operations. Regularly interacts with executives and internal stakeholders. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization. Directs and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the functional business-side expert on all sales planning as it relates to Anaplan
- Subject matter expert for any questions related to Anaplan functionality and capabilities
- Assist in testing of Anaplan model and functionality in controlled environment
- Design and develop numerous models in Anaplan to support current initiatives. The models must be deployed in a way that the total solution is able to be supported effectively and efficiently without significant ongoing burden. This requires the ability to architect a reusable model framework and determine common core elements
- Works independently to drives and collaborate with Managers, Senior Managers and Directors within multiple (Sales, Finance, Human Resources) groups to understand business needs. Synthesize needs into business, functional and technical requirements, configuration and technical design. This requires expertise in Anaplan and solutions necessary to meet current initiatives
- Analyzes data, data integrations and planning solutions and has the ability to translate from model-building in Excel to multi-dimensional technologies. Produces functional and technical design documents
- Project management: Regular collaboration with IT teams to ensure that all technical projects are progressing according to spec and within prescribed time
Required Skills/Experience
- High energy and contagious enthusiasm. Willing to take on tough projects in order to support growth of the business
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in sales operations / systems administration
- Experience managing people (mentoring, delegating, reviewing work, and coaching staff)
- Certified Anaplan resource at Sr. modeler level or modeler level is a plus
- MS Office Power User (Primarily Excel & Power Point)
- Excellent presentation skills
- Familiarity with SFDC functionality
- Technically sound, systems savvy with advanced skills in Excel modeling, PowerPoint
- Proficient with BI software (e.g. Qlikview, Tableau, Business Objects) a plus
