Purpose of Role


Define and execute the global eCommerce digital data and analytics strategy acting as a bridge between the eCommerce business needs and the technical teams that will support in the delivery of the solutions. eCommerce data encompasses Consumer, Retailers, Supply Chain, B2C and B2B Direct to Consumer, Marketing, Category and Product Sales and Content performance. This role requires proficiency in both Data & Analytics methods and tools and CPG industry data (Nielsen. Kantar, Europanel, Media, Retailers)

Main Responsibilities

1. Define what eCommerce data is and what are the key areas of measurement that are relevant to our business as well as the whole eCommerce analytics strategy
2. Synthesize demand at customer / market level into a roadmap to ensure business value, consistency, adoption of best practices, innovation and scalability of analytics solutions across the globe.
3. Design and implement a data management processes for data quality to turn complex data sets from multiple sources internal and externally, structured and unstructured into actionable dashboards and insights
4. Partner with the eCommerce business to develop and analyze all key performance indicators for online sales channels. Support the execution of ad hoc and recurring analyses.
5. Analyze performance and impact of digital marketing and merchandising investments with key eRetailer accounts and DTC to determine customer impact and return on investment (ROI) online.
6. Shape the organizational culture to one that values and practices data-informed decision-making.
7. Ensure that the way we organize around data is defined with clear goals and objectives and that our team is delivering value to the organization.
8. Partner with internal Information Technology and Solutions teams and manage eCommerce data provider relationships to develop short and long term data analytics infrastructure relevant to the eCommerce business


Qualifications

Career Experiences Required & Role Implications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Economics or related quantitative discipline is required.
2. Minimum of 6 years professional experience including experience extracting, manipulating and analyzing data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations; 3 years in an eCommerce-oriented role preferred; at least 2 years leading and managing an analytics team.
3. Proven collaboration ability, effectively working across multiple stakeholder groups, cross-functional groups, departments and leadership teams both within the organization and outside of the organization.
4. Experience using in-database analytics, SQL and similar programming languages to retrieve, merge, and hygiene data from multiple sources or platforms. Experience with Tableau for delivering reports is preferred.
5. Familiarity with web analytics tools (Amazon Retail Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)
6. Familiarity with relational databases and scripting languages that support data manipulation and reporting automation; examples being SQL, Visual Basic, SPSS, Python, etc.
7. Working knowledge of data science techniques (statistical models, various regression techniques, decision tree algorithms, cluster analysis, etc)
8. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques and systems
7. Demonstrated intellectual curiosity with a passion for developing and analyzing large, complex data sets and converting them into the information/insights
8. CPG products experience a strong plus
