Job Description
GMR Marketing, the nation’s first and leading experiential marketing agency, is seeking professional, reliable, and experienced Event Managers to oversee our grocery store client’s grand opening events.
Event Details: Grand Opening for our client’s grocery store chain where there will be several activities both in and out of the store for consumers to engage in while visiting the store location.
Location: Store location in New York, NY
Dates:
11/14/18 – 11/18/18
Uniform:
- Site Check: Comfortable clothes and shoes while still appearing professional in front of the client.
- Event: Black pants or appropriate length black shorts (no yoga pants, leggings, or athletic pants), black closed-toe shoes, and a provided branded t-shirt.
Responsibilities:
- Complete site check on designated day before event.
- Work with other managers to set-up event site and assets prior to event.
- Partner with Assistant managers to supervise the 34+ staff onsite.
- Be the main point of contact for the Account Team, the client, the store contacts, and all Brand Ambassadors onsite.
- Manage event assets and keep track of inventory (iPads, giveaways, samples, etc.)
- Event reporting and recaps.
- Troubleshoot issues on site.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent to be considered
- Must be dependable and responsible
- Must have reliable transportation to get to and from events
- Must have previous event management experience
- Must have experience managing large groups of event staff and completing administrative tasks such as event recapping and reporting and approving timesheets.
- Outgoing, professional and highly organized
