The Divisional Channel Manager will be responsible for driving Leica Geosystems sales and market penetration of divisional product portfolio in the US/CAN Region. Grow and oversee Measurement Tools channels in US/CAN region by developing and managing dedicated key accounts and coordinating with and supporting other channel in the US/CAN organization

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT

  • Responsible for Sales budget and P&L performance of divisional product portfolio
  • Lead the Measurement Tools Channel team, including direct line supervision and management of technical support, inside, and outside sales employees
  • Develop or create new channels and new channel partners for the Measurement Tools Business, including new VAR and OEM opportunities.
  • Work with segment managers to maximize P&L performance, growth and market share of divisional product portfolio
  • Stakeholder between local region and BU to address all business related issues in regards to products in relevant segments. Includes product needs, quality issues, delivery, etc…
  • Create marketing strategies for the target segments and channels in the US/CAN region that are in line with BU goals and objectives
  • Use modern communication and marketing channels to reinforce the brand values, the technology strength and the high quality standards
  • Identify and implement successful marketing campaigns and sales promotions to effectively support distributor/dealer sales in Disto channel
  • Collaborate with shared services organization regarding business functions (IT, HR, AR, etc) regarding the operation of the business within the region
  • Ensure adherence to Authorization Policy
  • Sponsor and/or lead projects within BU area of responsibility
  • Liaise and work with distributors and dealers in Disto channel, understanding their requirements and market, identifying programs, promotions to develop the business of the divisional product portfolio.
  • Closely liaise with eCommerce team to optimize overall Disto channel profitability and growth
  • Lead business related operational tasks: strategic planning, business development, MAP strategy/execution/enforcement, forecasting, Price/discount management


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall regional team leader of Measurement Tools Channel, including direct line supervision and management of technical support, inside, and outside sales employees


ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Interacts with all levels throughout organization, customers, and vendors.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Skills/Education/Experience:

  • University Graduate or equivalent, preferably in Sales and Marketing or business degrees.
  • 3-5 years plus sales or marketing experience consumer product business or retail environment for a premium brand. Industrial, consumer durables and tradesmen product experience an advantage.
  • Proven experience as marketing specialist for a premium brand or similar role
  • Thorough understanding of digital marketing elements as Ecommerce, SEO/Social media etc.
  • Must have experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • English reading, writing and verbal, Spanish and German helpful
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with past working experience in a multi-national management environment
  • Must be willing to learn and able to take direction whilst interacting effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity and function as an enthusiastic and effective team member
  • Possess strong drive, passion and a go-getter for achieving business targets
  • Ability to co-ordinate and direct projects to meet specific deadlines
  • Ability to analyze issues and recommend solutions
  • Strong customer and results orientation focusing on bottom line revenue whilst at the same time assisting key accounts to build solid foundations for their business.
  • Willing to travel (national and occasionally international), approx. 20-30%
  • Proficient in PC skills such as Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP BIW, Salesforce, AutoCAD
