Bridge Superintendent to join our crews working around the state.

Job Duties:

• Responsible the Company’s overall safe, efficient and high quality bridge construction operations; over multiple projects under simultaneous construction.
• Demonstrates firsthand knowledge of standard, industry accepted bridge building techniques and trains others to same standards
• Directs overall planning, work flow, problem solving and overcoming of obstacles; while controlling schedule and budget goals
• Common sense approach to task planning and scheduling of materials, tools, equipment and labor
• Primary point of professional contact with onsite customer rep/inspectors
• Managers day-to-day subcontractor production and quality
• Frequently reports and updates company management on status of all projects
• Performing other duties on the jobsite when equipment is not in operation, as to add to efficiency of our overall operation
• Following all safety policies and PPE use

Safety Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in high heat and cold
• Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to walk and stand on uneven surfaces for long periods of time
• Ability to operate designated equipment and company vehicles by safe use of levers, knobs, handles and peddles, steering mechanisms
• Ability to stoop, bend and climb as needed
• Ability work at heights exceeding 6 ft from the ground
• Ability to read, see and understand signs, signals, commands, instruction and safety policies
• Ability to train and teach proper safety techniques and PPE use

Experience/Skills Required:

• Must have minimum of 5 yrs. successful experience as a supervisor of bridge projects. A degree in construction management OR documented previous experience with leading construction crews is required.
• Ability to operate specialized road and/or heavy equipment as needed
• Possession of an NCCCR crane certification is preferred
• Clear driving record and valid driver’s license required
