Job Description
SUMMARYResponsible for website and email design functions. This involves for email: header, footer, body content design and coding. For website: header, footer, banners, Web Designer and some page design. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks are required. All websites are on the Demandware platform, therefore, experience with Demandware is a plus. Experience in Javascript, HTML, CSS, and responsive Design preferred. Primary site of responsibility is Sheplers.com; though we have other commerce websites, and satellite private label sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners with Ecomm Merchandising Manager, Marketing and Web Designers to concept and develop high impact creative and copy for the website and email.
Works closely with the Ecommerce Creative Director and Ecomm Merchandising Manager to ensure website creative is responsive, and functions optimally across all devices; thus clearly communicating planned merchandise stories and marketing promotions; despite how the customer shops.
Works closely with Ecommerce Creative Director and all Web Designers to ensure email and website creative exceeds expectations and is executed according to plans/timelines.
Responsible for the design, layout and formatting of website creative across entire responsive design platform.
Coordinates production and execution of email and website creative with Ecomm team.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance
Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations
Adheres to local, state and federal laws
Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management
Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations
Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
Travel up to 10% of the time based on business requirements.
Special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
2 to 4 years prior Web Design experience.
Design ability and proficiency in software applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator is required. Demandware (CMS platform) experience is preferred but not required.
General understanding of SEO and Javascript.
Working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Fireworks required.
Experience with HTML, CSS, and Responsive Design preferred.
Up-to-date knowledge of web trends, image formats, ecommerce standards and best practices.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Exhibits the following: customer focused, good time-management, professionalism, positive can-do attitude and teamwork.
Good knowledge of effective merchandising principles from concept through completion.
Must be capable of blending and balancing creative needs, technological constraints, customers needs with business objectives to develop the most persuasive, effective merchandising and promotional strategies.
Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, preferred.
