Who are NTE Mobility Partners and LBJ Infrastructure Group? :
NTE Mobility Partners (NTEMP) and LBJ Infrastructure Group (LBJIG) are individual concessions that include equity partners Cintra US, Meridiam Infrastructure and APG Asset Management. Both multibillion-dollar projects were approved in 2009 by the Texas Legislature as Public, Private Partnership (P3) Comprehensive Development Agreements (CDA) with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

NTEMP is the developer and operator of the North Tarrant Express (NTE) and NTE 35W projects in North Texas. The $2.1 billion NTE was the first P3 highway project to obtain financial close in the United States in which the private sector assumed all the risks. NTEMP partnered with Ferrovial Agroman and Webber Construction to build the NTE (north Loop 820 & Airport Freeway) and opened the 13.3-mile facility 9 months ahead of schedule in October 2014. During construction the NTE project employed more than 160 local and regional subcontractors and nearly 3000 workers at its peak. NTEMP currently maintains and operates the corridor until 2062.

LBJIG is the developer and operator of the LBJ Express Project (IH-35E & IH-635 in North Dallas). The $2.7 billion corridor is the largest P3 of its kind in Texas. Construction of the 13.3-mile LBJ project was a collaboration with Ferrovial Agroman and Texas-based Webber Construction and was completed two months ahead of schedule in September 2015. At its peak, the LBJ project employed more than 2,200 Texans and integrated more than 160 other Texas companies and their employees into the construction. LBJIG currently operates and maintains the corridor until 2062.

Your next calling:
As an ITS Field Systems Technician: you will have the opportunity to perform servicing, repair and/or installation of Toll Collection Systems (TCS). The Field Service Technician provides field support including: troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment, systems, and wiring; installation of equipment; upgrades, modifications, programming; preventive maintenance actions; documentation.

Functions key to success:

  • Document and report customer and revenue facing tolling issues proactively
  • Identification of potential exceptions through the use of:
  • Automated control reports;
  • Analysis of system data and trends;
  • Discussions with external service providers or analysis of external interface data;
  • Discussions with the system maintenance provider.
  • Respond to corrective maintenance requests and alarms within the allotted time frame
  • Isolation of faults in units and/or components
  • Diagnose and repair hardware, software and system issues
  • Complete work order reports and logs
  • Perform shift-to-shift communications in accordance with established policies, procedures and local practices
  • Actively escalate system issues and systemic problems to system maintenance.
  • Collaborate with system maintenance on approach to resolve issues.
  • Review proposed changes to the system.
  • Support testing and verification of system changes after implementation.
  • Installation, preventive and corrective maintenance of toll collection equipment to include lane controllers (servers & PC hardware), RFID, power supplies, closed circuit television cameras, microwave vehicle detectors, network components (routers, switches, cabling) and dynamic message signs
  • Maintenance of spare equipment and parts including inventory management and documentation
  • Installation of electrical conductors, data conductors, and fiber optic cable
  • Connection of electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What you bring to the table:
You’ve worked hard to achieve success in your career, now put it to use. Do you have a Bachelor's Degree : in IT: , military service or electrical engineering. Do you have 5-8 year of previous related experience: in field support, information technology, tolling systems and/or intelligent transportation systems and a willingness to work weekends, holidays, nights and be on-call : as needed. If so, you can check off those boxes! Finally, an IMSA-II (Traffic Signal Tech 2) certification: is preferred, and if you have fundamental electrical/mechanical knowledge, that would be the cherry on top.

As an ITS Field Systems Technician, : you will have frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and moving traffic. You must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. You will be frequently required to bend, squat, crawl, reach and maneuver in tight spaces and above ground via bucket truck. ​Effective communication will be key for this role and will require you to talk and hear others.
