Thank you for inquiring about working for Garden State Consolidating, division of Oak Lodge Holdings, Inc. Oak Lodge was formed in 1998 and currently maintains two facilities; one in Kearny NJ, where we have our warehouse, shop and company equipment, and our executive offices in West Chester PA. We specialize only in the Wines and Spirits industry, and cater to their needs on a national basis.
There are 35 employees in our company and we are financially sound. We have never laid off due to lack of business. Our equipment never leaves a 350 Mile radius of Kearny, NJ. All other work is outsourced. There are two driver positions in our company. We identify them by Regional and Local. Both positions get you home every night, and we do not work weekends. Each driver is guaranteed a minimum of $1,000 per week minimum pay . Additionally, we pay 50% of health benefits for the employee, up to $2,500/year, plus accumulated paid vacation and sick time. After a 3 month probation period, you are entitled to all company benefits, plus will receive a sign on bonus of $300. We also pay a Holiday bonus based upon company/employee performance. There is an a 401K available for retirement benefits if you choose to participate. We also offer uniform shirts.
REGIONAL DRIVER -$0.55/Mile plus $20/stop on all miles driven, minimum $1,000 salary/week guarantee
LOCAL DRIVER -$1, 000/week salary guarantee, then $25/hour after 45 hours
PIER DRIVER -$1,000/week salary guarantee, then $25/hour after 45 hours
All equipment is maintained in our own 4 bay shop. We have two mechanics on staff and all equipment is extremely well maintained. Our drivers have the authority to shut down our equipment if they feel it is unsafe to drive, and we usually have spare equipment in case of breakdown. Our regional equipment is late model Kenworth either T680 or T880, 2016 or better. Local tractors are Mack CH 13, and while older in age, are in near perfect condition. We own approximately 40 trailers, 4 intermodal chassis, one reefer trailer and two yard switchers. All equipment is fueled on site from our own tank truck.
