AM/NS Calvert is seeking an experienced Learning & Development professional to lead our developing training processes at our site operations in Calvert, Alabama (near Mobile, and the glorious Gulf Coast!)
Our Team Manager, Learning & Development will:
Manage the Learning and Development process
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Executes the Talent Development strategy for AM/NS Calvert
Managers local performance management processes and succession planning processes
Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, evaluates and improves on-the-job learning process
Aligns Learning and Development strategies and systems with workforce development and performance needs
Partners with stakeholders to ensure performance management and talent development processes are aligned with business objectives
Analyzes training needs and manages training budgets
Continually improves the Learning and Development function through the introduction of innovative solutions to organizational challenges
Implements best practice solutions for industrial learning to ensure highly trained workforce
Compiles, analyzes and utilizes data to identify opportunities to improve talent development processes
Responsible for all external training and recruiting vendor partnerships and ensures key internal business partnerships are aligned to deliver key talent strategies
Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Fulfills the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment
Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect
Ensures working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949 and ISO 14001:2015
EDUCATION & ACCREDITATION:
Bachelor’s Degree Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field, or 5+ years of related professional experience
Professional certification is preferred, but not required (CPLP, CPTM, SPHR, et al)
KNOWLEDGE:
5+ years of experience leading large-scale learning and development projects and programs, performance consulting or organization development to include:
. -- Management experience or experience leading people and projects
-- Extensive knowledge of learning and organizational development methodologies and tools
-- Applying a variety of development approaches that span formal training, relationship-based, and experience-based development (70-20-10 model of learning and development)
-- Designing, developing and facilitating learning and development related programs for all transition points in a cooperative
Experience with Success Factors not required, but is a plus
SKILLS:
Demonstrated success in building and delivering L&D strategy in a complex business
Examples could include: Implementing or running a maintenance apprenticeship program or a partnership with AIDT or other group for funding of training
Experience delivering metric based recruiting solutions
Strong business and financial acumen; exceptional ability to interact effectively cross-functionally with business leaders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Interest and ability to work at our site operations in Calvert, Alabama
