Honeywell's Clearwater, Florida campus is home to the Military Aircraft, Helicopter and Surface (MAHS) department which is part of the Sensing, Guidance and Navigation (SG&N) Defense organization. The MAHS group is in need of an EII Systems Engineer to support inertial sensor based products for the Surface Applications group. The candidate will work with solid state Gyro, Accelerometer and Global Positioning System (GPS) technology in support of navigation, attitude, survey and targeting operations.
The candidate will have relatable experience in systems engineering from past work in system design. The candidate should have an understanding of the system engineering process and ideally will have demonstrated experience in support of complex technical projects.
Developed problem solving skills are required. This will include the ability to evaluate complex issues and recommend solutions that are consistent with standard engineering practices which address system constraints. Ideally, the candidate will also have experience in the identification of risk and the development of risk mitigation strategies.
