Our office in White Plains, New York is looking for a Senior Project Manager / Associate / Office Manager to lead the Water/Wastewater group in southeast New York State as well as oversee the day-to-day operations of our White Plains office.
Our team of engineers design robust, cost effective and scientifically based solutions. We work with water authorities, local government, planning authorities, legal firms, industries and companies planning infrastructure projects.
We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in the water industry; someone who is commercially astute, and comfortable dealing at all levels within a client organization. We are also seeking someone who can drive growth by identifying and delivering projects for current and future clients. This is an opportunity to leverage your local knowledge and be involved in challenging projects that will offer an opportunity to provide technical solutions as a subject matter expert.
As a Senior PM, your primary objectives will be to:
Lead study design or construction teams, delegate project tasks and respond to project issues.
Interact with clients and outside consultants
Develop existing and new client relationships that will generate new projects and business development
Perform project management duties including managing projects, individual budgets, completing project fee and invoice forecasting, prepare project invoices and manage account receivables
Preparation of proposals for new work opportunities

This role will allow you the opportunity to hold multiple responsibilities which could include:
Enhancing client relationships, winning work, staffing projects and team development
Assist in the development of structured marketing plans and complete the actions designated to your position
Achieve financial targets with respect to new work, invoiced fees and chargeable time
Work with Principals, Service Line Coordinators and others to secure projects
Understand client needs and resolve any issues of project scope and Consultancy Agreement with the client
Establish project delivery strategy and develop job plan, QA plan, securing resources, establishing work briefs and budgets
Invite client feedback as appropriate to verify client needs are being met
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; Master’s degree a plus
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of New York highly regarded
At least 15 years of consulting experience which includes working with municipal clients on water and wastewater projects
Self-motivated, hardworking and able to work under minimum supervision.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite
Demonstrate excellent people relationships and networking skills
Must be willing and able to travel regionally as needed
Ability to manage several jobs at once and determine priorities
