C 2 Systems is currently seeking an RF Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. Applicants must possess strong technical aptitude and be comfortable working in high pressure situations. The candidate will be interacting with customers and co-workers on a daily basis and must be able to provide timely and detailed updates. They will be exposed to various RF applications and should understand the best practices for any given situation. This position will require the individual to be in the field 90% of the time.
Responsibilities

Take lead on system commissioning, integrations, and activations

Perform system tests using scanners, spectrum analyzers, transmitters, and other electronic test equipment

Perform site surveys and in-depth walkthroughs

Work hands on with system components such as antennas, fiber optics, coax, and RF amplifiers

Troubleshoot and repair systems for optimal performance

Multi-task projects on a day-to-day basis

Maintain test equipment and tools for continuous use

Travel to various job sites within the tri-state and outlying regions (NY, PA, NJ, CT)

Requirements

2 year college degree with relevant coursework

2+ years of related experience. Previous experience with DAS architecture and other cellular systems is preferred

Ability to receive and give direction on an as needed basis

Understanding of RF principles/theory (signal path, power, frequency, noise, modulations, etc.)

Knowledge of various wireless technologies (CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, LTE, etc.)

Knowledge of RF optimization techniques and best practices

Have the desire to learn and advance within a technical field

Proficient in basic computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
