MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a high school student with a valid work permit from attending high school OR possess a high school diploma/GED. Applicant must be willing and able to participate and pass Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification training. Previous experience in working with children is highly desirable.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Monitor and oversee wading pool activities;
  • Provide security to swimming pool locker /dressing rooms;
  • Collect and secure personal belongings of swimmers;
  • Help maintain the facility for daily use, and prepare daily attendance reports;
  • Inspects equipment and facility for safety;
  • Directs the proper use and care of assigned facilities and equipment;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Follow supervision and suggestions of management for improvement of service,
  • Maintain effective and courteous working relationships with parents, campers, co-workers and community members.
  • Demonstrate good citizenship, honesty, loyalty, ethical behavior,
  • Be willing to cooperate with other employees and the public.
THE SELECTION PROCESS begins with an application review for legibility and minimum qualifications. Only the applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate the ability to and/or experience in performing the job tasks as listed above will be invited to interview with the Selection Panel. Candidates selected for a hiring interview will be contacted via email and/or by telephone with their specific interview date, time and location.

Selected candidates must be available to participate in the training program scheduled for June 9th & June 16th, secure CPR Certification by June 18, 2018 and be available to work between June 18th and September 3rd up to 28-hours per week.

All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of fingerprint (over 18 years of age) background check, provision of evidence of freedom from tuberculosis, and clearance following medical exam by City approved/authorized physician or the Human Resources Department review of a medical questionnaire.
