Pet waste removal technician

This position involves driving to local addresses provided daily by the company, where you’ll search clients’ yards for dog poop and remove it with a poop scooper. The clients’ pets may or may not be in the yard while employees work. Company policy must be strictly adhered to for proper disposal of pet waste. The employee will most often be working alone. All necessary equipment will be provided by the company. There will be future opportunities for growth within the company for those who are interested, driven, and reliable and can prove these qualities with their actions and job performance.

Job Requirements:

• Your own reliable, insured vehicle (a truck is most appropriate for this job as your cargo is often odoriferous and may make your car interior rather unpleasant smelling)
• A smart phone
• Must be able to complete your list of tasks daily between the hours of 8 AM and 6:30 PM (those are not your hours, but rather our hours of operation)
• Must maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
• Attention to detail is critical, as is time efficiency
• Highly responsible, dependable, self-motivated personality
• Must be okay with (and have the appropriate clothing for) working outside, frequently in inclement weather conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without help
• Fantastic customer service skills
• Experience with animals and the ability to read and understand the body language of dogs is a plus, but not a requirement

This job involves a lot of driving around. You will be expected to work even if it is raining or snowing, unless weather conditions are so extreme that it becomes unsafe to drive. You will not have to work in the dark because you can’t really see dog poop in the dark (until it’s too late). You are expected to get ALL of the turds in the yard, so you really have to search extensively. You will need to work in a timely fashion, as you will be expected to complete a certain number of yards within a set amount of time. This job isn’t for everyone. It will require resilience and great mental strength. A background check will be performed.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 /hour
