Multivac Machine Operator

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Education and Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to operate the machines according to PA Child Labor Laws. Minimum of a High School Diploma required; reading and writing is required. Must be able to stand up to 4 hours at one time; up to 8 hours in a shift. Must be able
to lift up to 60 pounds with minimal assistance occasionally. Must have the ability to work at a very fast pace with very frequent twisting and turning. Must have the ability to continuously use fine motor skills with both hands; Excellent manual dexterity
needed. Basic Computer competence required.

Job Summary:
Portions out various condiments using the Multivac machine, and portions out dressing using the Winpak machine. Washes trays, sanitizes machine, loads/unloads machine, and tracks daily machine production. Maintains a clean work environment. Hours begin at approximately
6am. The length of the shift will vary with production schedule. Typically, will be a 4-5 hour shift, but could run up to 8 hours in a day. Position works Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday or Sunday if needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Works as a team to portion out various condiments on the Multivac machine such as: Lettuce, Pickles, Onions, Tomatoes, and Pepper Rings, and to portion out Italian dressing on the Winpak machine.
  • Assembles and tears down Winpack machine.
  • Washes pots and pans.
  • Obtains products from the shelves and coolers to prepare condiments and dressing for production.
  • Stacks produced condiments on trays and dressing cups in boxes.
  • Keep a daily log of production.
  • Rotates with production team between the Multivac and Winpak machines and through various positions at each of the machines on any given day.
  • Report any machine issues or problems immediately to supervisor and maintenance staff.
  • Cleans and sanitizes machines and attached equipment to include, trays, parts, etc.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment. Sweep floors and keep floors free of debris. Empty garbage and change can liners at the end of the shift. Scrub trays.
  • Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
Dishwasher Responsibilities:
  • Loads and unloads automatic dish machine with ware (trays, totes, lids, and utensils).
  • Rinses debris off of ware before loading into dish machine when needed.
  • Stacks ware for air drying.
  • Monitors and collects empty ware from production room.
  • Restocks production areas with clean ware when dry.
  • Assembles the dish machine at start up.
  • Disassembles the dish machine after each shift for cleaning.
  • Tests rinse temperature twice a shift with min/max thermometer and record results.
  • Restock dish machine chemicals when alerted by dispenser unit.
  • Monitor and empty garbage in dish washer room and production room.
  • Maintains an organized work area.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
  • Report to and from work at assigned time.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Must be honest and reliable.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Adhere to dress code policy.
