Position Summary:
SiriusXM interns don't just make coffee, they're on-air, on projects and making valuable contributions to SiriusXM. Join our internship program and learn about the radio world and get hands-on experience in your field of study.

SiriusXM is seeking interns interested in politics, entertainment, comedy, religion, children's programming or pop culture to join one of our talk programming channels/shows!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn and assist with daily operations for a radio show.
• Edit Audio.
• Run sound board.
• Perform show preparation and research for on-air talent.
• Interact with listeners through e-mail and on-air phone screening.
• Conduct outreach.
• Log shows.
• Participate in on-air content.
• Perform other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be enrolled in a U.S. based college, university or trade school to qualify.
• Current or previous enrolment in communications classes preferred.
• Prior internship or working experience in radio/TV preferred.
• Broadcast Communications majors preferred.
• Experience with digital media systems a plus.

Requirements and General Skills:

• Good project management and planning skills.
• Good personnel management skills.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to pay attention to details.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
• Familiar with SiriusXM Programming.
• Knowledge and interest in current events, pop culture and politics.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of Broadcast Automation/On-Air software, a plus.
• Experience with digital editing software (Cool Edit, Pro Tools, Adobe Audition), preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
