• The analysis of a variety of data types to improve the health and welfare of customers across the country through Cigna's wellness programs.
• Combining business acumen with technical and analytical skills to perform day to day tasks.
• Problem solving and improving business and IT processes.
The Incentives Reporting Team:
The Incentives Reporting Team is part of the Cigna's Information Management and Analytics (CIMA) organization. CIMA was established as a dynamic, growth focused department accountable for delivering advanced insights, rooted in data intelligence, that measure the value our products are providing to existing clients and inform market and sales distribution strategies. The Incentive team is responsible for:
• Consultative services on incentive products and proprietary technology used to create best-in-class reporting.
• Creation of standard and custom reporting for clients, brokers, sales, and other partners with a focus on insights delivery and incentive payments.
• HIPAA and policy/procedure workflow management.
Core Responsibilities:
• Responsible for development, assessment, monitoring and execution phases of the data analysis process.
• Provide comprehensive consultation to business partners throughout the life cycle of a request (document business/technical requirements, create/execute test cases, and facilitate programs from beginning to end).
• Perform routine and adhoc (Drill-Down) analysis as it relates operational trending and quality processes.
• Facilitate the set-up of new secure file transfers to clients and vendors.
• Manage the incentives reporting request queue, communicate with requestors and team members and document all new requests.
• Become a subject matter expert on Cigna products, such as clinical and wellness products.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in health care/managed care field with direct responsibility for data analysis and management, relational databases, and reporting.
• Strong preference for candidates with a background in incentives reporting, financial analysis and benefits utilization analysis.
• Intermediate level expertise in the use of relational database concepts with the ability to write programs/code to perform queries on data and retrieve data from multiple tables/sources via SAS, Toad and SQL is required.
• Proven experience in interpreting and translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Strong data mining skills including the ability to perform research and conduct root cause analysis.
• Proven ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment and effectively problem solve in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to present technical information to a varied audience.
