Treatment SpecialistLiberty Resources is a non-profit Human Service agency that provides assistance to individuals and families in need of achieving an improved quality of life by providing residential and non-residential services tailored to meet their particular needs. We offer progressive services in the least restrictive, most community-based setting possible for each individual.
Program Description: The program provides comprehensive home-based intervention to families with children that have been placed in an institutional level of care by the family court as a result of juvenile offenses in the community. The purpose of the program is to reunite these children with their families and provide the services necessary to decrease continued juvenile offenses, prevent re-placement outside the home, and support the family to maintain long-term stability.
Essential Job Functions:
- Reviews program referrals and determines appropriateness of referral
- Conducts intake assessments, including gathering data from parents, children, caseworkers and other relevant sources.
- Collaborates with residential facility staff to assess readiness for discharge and discharge planning
- Utilize assessment information, develops preliminary and comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with client system and DSS Case Worker.
- Provides short-term and long-term therapeutic counseling to children and families, including individual, family and group counseling sessions and case management services.
- Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field with 6 months’ work experience will also be considered.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
