Strategic Provider Communications Consultant/Writer
Job Description
Humana is seeking a Strategic Provider Communications Consultant to support our Healthcare Quality Reporting Improvement (HQRI) team, with a focus on Risk Adjustment, Quality Improvement and Stars Maximization, who will create and utilize information, tools and solutions to effectively communicate Humana’s messages and strategies to physicians and other healthcare providers.- Creates and/or assists with the development of provider communications strategy, plan, key messages and materials, including corporate review of communications, related to Stars initiatives.
- Coordinates communications between areas such as Proactive Care Strategies, Chronic Care Strategies, Provider Rewards, Provider Engagement, Risk Adjustment, CarePlus, Pharmacy and others to ensure communications are aligned and resources are used efficiently.
- Manages the Stars Provider and Engagement Communications Team meeting with the goal of influencing provider engagement initiatives to improve member quality outcomes, increase quality scores and overall Star ratings, and capture maximum revenue opportunity through data maximization efforts, reward programs, and provider communications and education.
- Manages and maintains quality resources pages on Humana.com to ensure value-added materials are up-to-date, approved and available to support efforts to close gaps in care.
- Tracks measurement and results of provider communications Stars initiatives to report return on investment to the Corporate Quality Improvement Committee.
Bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related degree program
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Corporate Communications or related area
Proficient in Associated Press (AP) style
Experience writing professional scripts, brochures, flyers, web copy, presentations, letters, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience managing multiple priorities
Consulting experience at leadership level
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
