PHP Developer

Job Description

Rapid Crush, Inc. (RCI), a digital marketing software firm, is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Remote PHP developer to be the primary developer and maintainer of a custom-built sales tool with an active user base.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all programming and development on the site
• The site is built on a LAMP stack
• Frontend is largely Bootstrap
• Work with stakeholders on planning and delivering new features
• Communicate with stakeholders and help them accurately describe what features and functionality they are after
• Document feature requests and create plans for implementation
• Develop, demo and iterate on new features until approved
• Work with stakeholders and support staff on resolving bugs
• Communicate with stakeholders and end-users to get accurate problem descriptions
• Troubleshoot reported bugs
• Develop and release fixes for problems
• Manage a deploy and release system to minimize downtime and customer impact
• Coordinate with stakeholders on planned updates to the site
• Perform testing before release
• Build on and improve current processes for testing and deploying updates to the site

Requirements:
Skill Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with PHP
• LAMP stack and Bootstrap
• Comfortable with raw (non-framework) PHP
• Experience working with end users and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with Git, and solid version control practices
• Experience working on websites with an existing user base
• Strong ability to figure out what stakeholders want and delivering that with code
• Strong time-management and communication skills
• Experience working on agile projects a plus
